Baby Registry Example
As a first time mom, it can be overwhelming trying to navigate what to put on your baby registry. There are so many recommendations out there it's insane. I have created an example of a baby registry HERE. Brands do not matter as much as the product does. If something on the list doesnt fit into your lifestyle thats OK.
the basics of what we should have are:
-a safe place for baby to sleep
-swaddles
-pacifiers (if you plan on using th em)
-diapers
-wipes
-changing station
-clothes-ideally you will want to have enough to change babys outfit 6x a day, more is better here).
-bottles and bottle sterilizer (if applicable)
-breast pump (if applicable)
-car seat and stroller
-sound machine (that plays throughout the night)
baby books-while not a necessity its good to start reading to your baby early
prenatal vitamins- if you are breastfeeding you still want to be taking these postpartum
Things I DO NOT recommend:
-anything that promotes unsafe sleep : crib bumpers (even mesh ones!), baby loungers like the snuggle me and doc-a-tot, wedges, weighted sleep products, etc.
-formula dispensers (such as baby brezza)
-sound machines that wont play all night, ideally you want something that will play throughout the night
-gripe water (ive heard one too many horror stories about infants who stop breathing after taking this due to choking)
-infant seats that make baby sit upright (like the fisher price sit-me-up floor seat)
-things that you add to the carseat (head positioners, padding, toys).
